Remote Baiting of European Wasp Nests
Controlling populations of European wasps when it is not possible to locate nests for application of direct insecticide treatment has been a challenge for many years in Australia. VESPEX European Wasp Lure is approved for use in insecticide baiting in situations where nests are not able to be located and directly treated.
VESPEX European wasp baiting programs should only be conducted by Sundew VESPEX Accredited Specialists. Incorrect installation and use of the VESPEX system could result in unpredictable results.
How Quickly Does Vespex Work?
Depending on the time of year, the size of the nest, the number of nests and the number of VESPEX
bait placements, a population of wasps can be reduced to as little as 98% in approximately 14 days.
No Requirement To Find The Nest
There is no requirement to find the nests as the wasps collect the bait from the feeder trays in the
wasp tunnel stations and carry it back to the nest. The wasps then share the bait with the queen
and fellow workers, quickly destroying the whole colony.
Trapping With Vespex European Wasp Lure
VESPEX European Wasp Lure is a specially formulated, non-toxic liquid lure which is attractive to European Wasp (Vespula germanica), but NOT to bees. Suitable for use in wasp dome traps, bottle traps, disposable wasp bags or other suitable traps where insects enter and are unable to escape.

Important Note Regarding Colour Change in Lure When Exposed to Sunlight
It is not unusual to observe a change in colour of the VESPEX European Wasp Liquid Lure from its normal reddish colour to clear. This is the affect of the sun bleaching the colouring in the liquid lure.
This change in colour can occur within 24 hours, or take even longer when the traps are located in shaded areas. A change in colour has no affect on the effectiveness of the product.
